So thrilled to announce, I’m writing my forthcoming sequel to Essie’s Roses: WESTLAND.
The women at Westland will return to face the aftermath of the Civil War and how the war and reconstruction efforts have affected their relationships and home on that small plantation in Alabama with several twists and surprises. It’s emotional and exciting returning to Westland. I can still picture Miss Katie’s magnolia trees, the special bench Essie treasured sitting underneath them, a dreamy bluebell sky above their hillside, and of course, Essie’s roses.
I hope you’re eager to escape into the next adventure with Essie and Evie. I’ve missed those two, but as a writer, a special mentor, who I dedicated this novel to, taught me the best stories come when we put the work aside. I think I’ve waited long enough, don’t you?
I’m also happy to announce there will also be an Essie’s Roses Book 3! Stay tuned for updates, a release date, cover reveal, and the sweet book trailer I just can’t wait to share with you. I better get back to work!
